Attention Designer of This: Needs Tweaking September 7, 2010 Nancy F. (Chicago) I bought these because I just wasn't comfortable using the padded kind. They helped initially, when she was younger and wasn't as strong (when she'd slightly hit her head). But when she got to about 7 or 8 months and she started rocking back and forth on her hands and knees, she would hit her head pretty hard. The Breathable Bumpers provided no padding for that. But my main gripe with these bumpers is that there are only 2 ties on them, one in the front and one in the back. So that leaves the remainder of the bumper fabric unattached to the crib rails, so my daughter is able to push and pull them down with her hands and feet. And because of this, the bumpers are constantly sliding down and out of proper position, and they bunch up against the mattress. They also become too loose and I'm constantly readjusting them.
If there were more ties all the way around the bumper, then it would stay flat against the crib. Doesn't take a genius to figure that out. Hopefully someone from the company will see this review and take that into consideration to redesign the bumpers.
Great product September 6, 2010 Swathck Easy to install, works just fine, I don't worry about my baby bangng her head against the side of the crib and my wife (the paranoid one) doesn't worry about suffocation hazards.
Best baby product I bought! September 5, 2010 Husker girl (Costa Mesa, CA) I was so worried about the bumpers that they sell but that you can't use b/c your baby will rollover into them and won't be able to breathe. Who knows why they even sell those, they look cute, but not practical. My daughter moved into her crib at 6mos and she immediately got her leg caught between the slats of the bed and cried. I found this, had it overnighted and it is fantastic. I've used only this in her crib until today when we finally moved her into the convertible toddler bed. This is the single best product I bought for her bedroom, hands down. I give this to all my friends having babies, this is now my go to baby gift.
Great product - exactly what we wanted, and looks better than expected August 31, 2010 Nathan Arthur (Cleveland, OH) This product was exactly what we were looking for - we wanted something to keep our 6mo son's legs out between the slats, but that wasn't to thick and wouldn't get in the way of changing the sheets. This works great on both counts. I was worried that it would look tacky in the room, but it doesn't at all - it looks like a nice baby product.
Awesome mesh bumper August 27, 2010 In RGV We love this mesh bumper. We don't worry about my baby's limbs sticking out of his crib when he's sleeping but most importantly, I don't have to worry about him suffocating on a traditional bumper. I highly recommend this bumper.
